Substation automation is developed together with the thermal design. Control, measurement and operating diagrams are coordinated with the required building services operating conditions.

New substations and refurbishment
For new designs, automation is coordinated with heating and domestic hot water. Refurbishment also takes account of existing equipment, documentation and site constraints.
Information for a proposal
The project brief, substation thermal diagram, system parameters, room layouts and equipment details. Data transfer requirements and interfaces with related disciplines are clarified separately.
Design deliverables
An agreed documentation package and specifications. Programming, installation, commissioning and maintenance are discussed separately: an automation design does not itself include these services.
